Get it right the first time
Eight numbers, and the garment fits.
Use a soft tape, wear what you would under the garment, and have someone else read the numbers. Measure twice — we cut once.
How to measure

Full length
Shoulder top (at the neck) down to where you want the hem.

Bust / chest
Around the fullest part, tape level, arms relaxed down.
- 03
Waist
Around the narrowest point, usually above the navel.
- 04
Hip
Around the widest part of the seat, feet together.
- 05
Shoulder width
Seam point to seam point, across the back.
- 06
Sleeve length
Shoulder point past the elbow, to the wrist bone.

Wrist opening
Around the wrist — do not skip this for abayas.
- 08
Front rise
Shoulder, through the chest, to the waist tape.
Children — by age and height
Chest measurement in inches where the chart and reality disagree, trust the tape.

The three we are asked most
- What tolerance do you cut to?
- Ready-to-wear is held to ±1.5cm on length and ±1cm on circumference. Made-to-measure is held to ±1cm throughout, which is why the fitting stage exists.
- Should I size up for a growing child?
- For school sets we add 4cm of hem allowance and a grow-out waistband, so buy for today's fit rather than next year's.
- I am between sizes. Which do I choose?
- Choose by your bust or chest measurement, not your waist. Scrub trousers have drawstrings; the top is what must fit.
Ordered the wrong size?
Ready-to-wear pieces can be adjusted once, free, within 14 days. Bulk institutional runs are re-cut against the sealed sample if the error is ours.
